Bring on Spring

As we farewell the winter season and say hello to spring, there's a few things you can do to prepare your home for the warmer weather ahead.

If you've spent quite a bit of time around home, it will likely benefit from a bit of love. They don't call it a spring clean for nothing, so we have six ways to freshen your home up for the season ahead.

The spring clean

Winter’s dark corners and rain streaked windows are probably in need of a good spring clean. As well as the obvious things you look at everyday, don’t forget to dust ceiling fans and light fixtures, window sills and door tracks.

Florals for spring

There's nothing like some fresh flowers to really say 'spring'. Whether it's a single stem or a big bunch, fresh florals around the home can brighten up any space. Why not treat yourself to a beautiful new vase while you're at it?

Weed and feed

The weeds are probably doing beautifully right now, so get as many as you can into your green bin. Weeds don’t just look messy, they take water and nutrients away from your other plants. Give the lawn and garden a good feed too so they’re ready for the spring growing season.

Pack away the winter woolies

With the end of winter you can be (almost) certain you won't need your knits and coats for a little while. Make some room in your wardrobe by packing away anything you won't wear, giving your warm-weather outfits more room to breathe in your wardrobe.

A change is as good as a holiday

Well, maybe not quite as good, but doing a re-arrange of furniture or other decor items around the home can make you feel like you're living in a whole new space. Smaller items in the bedroom and living room could be swapped, new photos put into frames, or plants found a new home.
