There's few things that make a house a home more than a furry friend. So many of us are lucky to have a cat or dog (or both!) at home that we consider not just a pet, but a member of the family.
With pets comes responsibility, and as much as we love them, they can pose a slight threat to keeping a home clean and in good condition. To make sure your pet and your home can co-exist in harmony, we sought advice from some experts on the subject – members of the Boffo team, and their fur babies!

Buy a carpet cleaner – dogs will urinate nearly everywhere. Or, keep that Carpet Cleaner's number on speed dial!

If your dog likes to dig holes, sprinkle some chilli flakes or black pepper throughout the soil to deter them from digging.

Create a cozy, warm spot (both indoors and outdoors) for your dog to call their own to avoid them getting too comfortable on your beds and other furniture!

When your cat's a kitten, get them used to the sound of banging on their bowl at feeding time, so when you want them to come inside and have trouble, you can use the sound to get them to think they're going to be fed – works every time!

Baby/safety gates are a great way to stop your dogs going into rooms with carpets, without having to permanently secure them into walls or door frames.
