Celebrating Another National Awards Finalist from Boffo!

We’re happy little vegemites at Boffo right now, as we celebrate the achievements of our Head of Auction Services, Mark Fricker.

The REB (Real Estate Business) Awards Program provides a national benchmark for excellence, recognising the top industry professionals throughout the country. To be nominated as a finalist in the Auctioneer of the Year category is indeed a hard-earned honour to be widely celebrated.

Mark is a highly respected and recognised South Australian auctioneer who brings extensive experience, energy and excitement to the auction atmosphere. His success is born from his high-level communication and negotiation skills. His easy manner and friendly approach builds trust and familiarity while forming relationships with vendors, buyers and all interested parties. If you’ve met Mark, you’ll know he leaves a lasting impression and always says gidday when he sees you out and about.

Of course Mark is a member of the highly supportive, committed and hard-working ‘Team Boffo’ with an unwavering focus on client satisfaction. An auction wouldn’t be an auction without valued vendors and buyers, sales agents and administrative staff working alongside the auctioneer to achieve outstanding results. Their collective efforts and involvement allow Mark to take the stage and do the phenomenal job that he does.

When determining the Auctioneer of the Year, auction results is one of the criteria that REB are assessing. Mark conducts over 500 auctions per annum, and during the financial year ending 2022 he achieved an outstanding 84% clearance rate incorporating multiple suburb records. When we said hardworking, we weren’t joking!

If you’re wondering how a successful auctioneer does it differently, watch Mark. His points of difference include holding pre-auction meetings with vendors, speaking personally with every registered bidder on auction day, and working closely with the Boffo sales team members to gain tactical understanding of each sales campaign prior to auction.

Mark will be donning his best suit and black tie to attend the prestigious REB Awards Night gala event in Sydney on May 4^th. And while we’re so proud of his nomination as a finalist, of course we’re all crossing our fingers and hoping for another reason to celebrate with a win!
